I Don't Wanna Talk About It

Lately, I just want to go for a drive. I have all these really great memories of being in the passenger seat of my dad's old truck with the windows down listening to this Rod Stewart cassette. There is something so soothing about travel. I like the feeling of the wind against my skin. Looking ahead at the open road and not looking back. I like to have the opportunity just to be contemplative. I like being able enjoy things just as they are happening.

Also, this just might be one of my favorite album covers of all time.

Where is the sun?

I'm so tired of this weather.
I need some warmth.
I need to sunbathe.
I need the ocean.

But anyway, aside from being really busy, I'm trying to get my resume all settled and continue applying for summer internships, as I really need to to get one.
My winter doldrums should be melting away by this point, but it's still cold, there is still ice everywhere, and I don't dig it.
I can't stop listening to sad, beautiful, somewhat soulfuly melodic pop songs that your mom and dad liked when they were in college.

For Your Listening Pleasure:

The real Rod Stewart video is better, but it wouldn't let me embed it.
